Publication of the book “Guarantees of the Right to Education in Iraq”

Within the work of the Education Path in the Iraqi Social Forum, and in cooperation with The Karibu Foundation, the Iraqi Civil Society Solidarity Initiative ICSSI, and the rest of the partners, Ufuq Organization is pleased to announce the publication of our reading of the guarantees of the right to education in Iraq.

The right to education is one of the basic rights, and it is an enabling right. Meaning that it enables us to know and obtain our rights. Therefore, this work was essential in our efforts in education. Our work came within our common vision, which is that the elements of the right to education are interconnected and indivisible and that achieving one element without the other does not mean a complete implementation of the rights. This book presents an expanded vision of the right to education in Iraq, its legal and development guarantees, and its enforcement strategy, as we believe that conscious awareness of these meanings contributes to the full realization of human rights in general, and the right to education in particular.

This study was prepared after consulting many experts, discussion sessions with colleagues in civil society, and teachers in the public and private sectors, and as a result, these insights are included as recommendations at the end of each chapter of the book.
