Ufuq participate in meeting held by UNAMI

A consultative meeting was held, in which Ufuq and some related organizations participated with the United Nations Mission (Criminal Justice Department) and the High Commissioner for Human Rights on February 11, 2020, to implement the mechanisms related to the submission of the report on the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights. Where our organization stressed in this meeting, the importance of the United Nations participation in building the capacity of organizations, in the field of writing periodic reports on the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.
Our organization also stressed the need to support organizations specialized in monitoring issues and writing periodic reports. Coordination was also held between the United Nations Mission and the rest of the organizations to work jointly to distribute the roles related to writing reports.
